The staff at this Indigo Urgent Care are always so friendly and listen to all of my concerns. I’m autistic and can have a lot of difficulties going to the doctor, especially when it’s urgent so it’s nice to have a friendly/safer place to count on when unforeseen circumstances arise. I was helped by an RN or ARNP training today, I think her name was Lindsay Grahan. She did a great job and I’m very thankful for her help/support.

Had an intense ear ache and needed to be seen asap. I was able to schedule an in-person appointment without delay. A virtual was also available if preferred. I appreciated having that option as well. I was seen quickly and got the treatment and meds same day. I'm feeling much better already!

I cant' say enough good things about this place. Needed to get in quickly as I am due to leave the county tomorrow for two weeks. I'd never been here before but they were showing same day appointments so I thought I'd give it a go. Very easy and slick, modern sign-up experience via mobile (far superior to legacy providers). Got an appointment for an less than an hour after I signed up. At the place, both the receptionist and the PA-C (Kayla) who saw me were super-friendly and extremely helpful. The facility is modern and clean. The exam was thorough and all my questions were answered. The procedures were very well explained, as were the costs (very transparent - first provider I've been to who could easily and quickly tell me my out of pocket costs based on my insurance). They even had the medication I needed right there in stock at a reasonable price so I didn't need to stop at the pharmacy. This is the best kept secret in Woodinville for healthcare right now. They didn't seem busy at all, which I hope is not a sign they aren't doing well. Give them a try!

I really love the staff here. They make you feel cared for and important.  Michelle was our MA and was especially helpful. If there is anything I don’t like is the wait. Appt. was 4 pm, came in at 3:30 because we were able to. Got into a room at 4:40, and left at 5 pm. These guys are working to get people in as soon as possible-I saw that. I guess it’s the nature of the urgent care, as more urgent needs come in and they need to be seen right and then. All this said, even still, I would highly recommend this place to family and friends, letting them know, about the nature of waiting at urgent care places. It’s a gamble.

While every other urgent care within 10 miles had 2-4 hour wait times, I was able to make two immediate back to back appointments for my kids. When car troubles set us back 15 minutes, I called ahead and was treated with kindness and compassion. Both Dr. An and the person who checked us in were warm, welcoming, and took the time to listen to and speak with my children and not only me about their symptoms. I am so thankful to have found this clinic and highly recommend them!

Getting Tested for STDs in Sammamish, WA

Who should get tested for STDs?

Anyone who is sexually active should consider getting tested for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). This includes individuals who are in monogamous relationships, as well as those who have multiple partners. It's particularly important for those who have unprotected sex, share needles for drug use, or have been diagnosed with another STD in the past. According to the CDC, regular STD testing is also recommended for men who have sex with men, as they are at a higher risk of contracting certain STDs.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for STDs is crucial for several reasons. First, many STDs don't present symptoms in the early stages, so you could be infected and not know it. This can lead to serious health complications if left untreated. Second, knowing your STD status allows you to take steps to protect your health and the health of your partners. Lastly, early detection and treatment can help prevent the spread of STDs in the community.

Std testing options in Sammamish, WA:

Urgent care and walk-in clinics

Urgent care and walk-in clinics are convenient options for STD testing in Sammamish. These facilities often offer same-day appointments, which can be booked through Solv's website or mobile app. One nearby location is Indigo in Bellevue, WA, which has a high rating and numerous positive reviews.

Primary care providers

Your primary care provider is another good option for STD testing. They can provide a comprehensive sexual health check-up, and they're familiar with your health history, which can be beneficial in diagnosing and treating any potential STDs.

Free STD testing and community health centers

For those who may not have insurance or who are looking for a more affordable option, free STD testing is available at community health centers. HealthPoint in Kent, WA is a nearby location that offers these services.

At-home testing

At-home STD testing kits are another option for those who prefer privacy or convenience. These kits can be ordered online, used at home, and then sent back to a lab for analysis.

Prevalence of STDs in Sammamish

Sammamish, located in King County, WA, has seen a rise in STD cases over the years, similar to the national trend. According to the CDC, chlamydia, gonorrhea, and syphilis are the most commonly reported STDs in the area. Comparatively, Sammamish has a lower STD rate than nearby counties such as Pierce County and Marion County, but higher than Sherman County and Wasco County.

Risk factors related to STDs in Sammamish

Several factors contribute to the prevalence of STDs in Sammamish. These include a lack of regular testing, unprotected sex, multiple sexual partners, and drug use. Additionally, young adults and men who have sex with men are at a higher risk. To mitigate these risk factors, regular STD testing, safe sex practices, and education about STDs are crucial.

  • What STDs can be detected by a blood test?

Blood tests are used to diagnose hepatitis B, hepatitis C, herpes, HIV, and syphilis. In a laboratory, a technician examines a blood sample for antibodies that the body has produced in reaction to disease. The virus's DNA can also be detected by several blood tests. • Can I test myself for STDs at home?

Although there are several STD home tests available, not all of them are accurate. The accuracy of any STD test is determined by the quality of the sample taken. For home STD kits, a blood sample, a urine sample, or both are frequently required. Because doctors and nurses have more experience collecting samples, traditional in-office STD testing is the most accurate.
