The staff was very friendly except for the doctor. She made me feel like I was faking my symptoms and asked me “so what can I do to make you feel better”.  Umm, you’re the doctor, you tell me. Not very pleasant at all.

No diagnosis, I went because of nausea and weakness. I am confused.  The results that came quickly were neglected, and the sti tests i don’t know where they are or what they did, yet they called and left voicemail before the results came back, they ignored my mention of allergy to red food dye and prescribed antibiotics with enough dye to change urine color, pharmacist mentioned it but just assumed it wasn’t important enough or that it wasn’t necessary to find an alternative.  I had to get a telehealth primary visit next day to find alternative but I do not believe I have relief.  I do not recommend this provider

I'm here from out of town and my chest cold progressed into bronchitis, I wasn't sure how the urgent cares were in this area but I heard great things about Carbon Health. Was able to book online and when I arrived the front desk staff were very kind and knowledgable about my insurance. Was called right back and seen very quickly. Even got x-rays (the x-ray tech was also amazing). Appointment was at 2pm, and I was out the door by 3pm. Highly recommend!!!

Sinus headache front desk staff was very friendly however, doctor did not touch me. He had a student with him. He asked me some questions I said to him you didn’t even look at my ear you didn’t touch me. He just asked me that I have the same symptoms before I’ll give you antibiotics, I sold him the ones I did not want give me amoxicillin when I look outside. Did not care for nurse practitioner. I know when I need an antibiotic. So wait til it gets worse instead of nipping it in the Budd. I haven't been sick since 2918 and this child doesn't know much. 😕 And I like this office. Next time I will wait and see my own health care provider. Sorry

Getting Tested for STDs in Mount Laurel, NJ

Who should get tested for STDs?

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), anyone who is sexually active should consider getting tested for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). This is especially true for those with multiple sexual partners, those who have had unprotected sex, or those who have never been tested for STDs. It's also important for pregnant women to get tested, as STDs can have serious health effects for both the mother and the baby.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for STDs is crucial for several reasons. Firstly, many STDs do not show symptoms, so testing is the only sure way to know if you have one. Secondly, untreated STDs can lead to serious health complications, including infertility, cancer, and increased risk of HIV. Lastly, knowing your STD status can help protect your sexual partners from getting infected.

STD testing options in Mount Laurel, NJ:

Urgent care and walk-in clinics

Urgent care and walk-in clinics in Mount Laurel, NJ, like Carbon Health Urgent Care and Live Urgent Care, offer STD testing services. These clinics are a good option for those who want to get tested quickly and without an appointment. You can book same-day and next-day testing appointments at each through Solv’s website and mobile app.

Primary care providers

Primary care providers can also offer STD testing. If you have a primary care doctor in Mount Laurel, you can ask them about getting tested during your next check-up.

Free STD testing and community health centers

For those who may not have insurance or who are looking for more affordable options, free STD testing may be available at community health centers in and around Mount Laurel.

At-home testing

At-home STD testing kits are another option. These kits can be ordered online, used at home, and then sent to a lab for analysis. The results are usually available online within a few days.

Prevalence of STDs in Mount Laurel

While specific data for Mount Laurel is not readily available, according to the CDC, New Jersey as a whole has seen a rise in STD cases in recent years. This trend mirrors the national trend, with increases in cases of chlamydia, gonorrhea, and syphilis. It's important for residents of Mount Laurel and nearby cities like Ramblewood and Marlton to be aware of this trend and take steps to protect themselves.

Risk factors related to STDs in Mount Laurel

Risk factors for STDs in Mount Laurel are similar to those in other parts of the country. These include having unprotected sex, having multiple sexual partners, and having a history of STDs. Other factors that may contribute to the spread of STDs include lack of awareness about STDs and lack of access to testing and treatment services. It's important to note that anyone who is sexually active can get an STD, regardless of age, race, or socioeconomic status.
