Woke up this morning and found a tick buried in my arm. Generally I have no problem removing them. This one left its head in place. Unable to get an appointment with my PCP I went to Urgent Care in Troy. As a walk in check in went smoothly. Wait time was minimal. The staff was attentive and professional. Tick removed and headed home in less than 30 minutes.

Woke up with a very sudden sore throat as the primary issue. My ears sore, swelling & fatigue. It’s not often I feel ill enough to book an appt with urgent care but this had such a quick onset I didn’t feel wise to wait or push though it. The front desk staff & initial nurse were kind & friendly. The facility was very clean & easily accessible. However, the primary doctor was cold & not very helpful or insightful. I was refused antibiotics even though my ears showed signs of infection. I am an adult in 30s & had a tonsillectomy almost a year ago to improve my health. This past procedure was used as an excuse why I shouldn’t have antibiotics. More of an assumption of being exposed to too much antibiotics, which I do not agree with. Doctor told me to watch out for my ears so they don’t rupture because they are bulging. The only meds prescribed were allergy. Then instructed to rotate pain meds. This is the first time I have felt sick since having tonsils removed & is still new in some ways to navigate. I’m five days past the urgent care appt & feel absolutely miserable. I’ve taken meds as instructed & got worse. My throat & ears have lots of pain. I called the urgent care back to no avail or additional aid beyond suggesting for me come in again, which would charge me again. Luckily my primary care doctor was able to see me. I was diagnosed with a severe ear infection on top of a sinus infection that my body has clearly been fighting hard over. I was prescribed steroids & antibiotics at my primary doctor visit. There was little understanding why urgent care didn’t do this in the first place. Definitely feel that I was not taken seriously at urgent care, so the overall experience was extremely upsetting. Advice would be to resolve what is noticed within very first visit, so whatever is going on doesn’t worsen.

I went in for a fall that happened around 11:00 am was there about 2 hours before I was seen . Needed X-ray that’s why I chose to go there instead of my PCP….Did not know you could make an appointment but my needs were more urgent… not sure why they call it an urgent care? The care was good once I was seen.

Recent Lab Tests Reviews (20)

I take blood tests quite frequently since I have CKD stage 4. My nurse was courteous friendly and informative. She behaved in a professional manner and put me at ease and made sure I was comfortable. One of my more pleasant visits I must say 🙂

- Verified patient on 3/2

I was ordered a plethora of immunological tests. Some of them needed confirmation from my doctor, and due to the time I came in they were unable to draw the first time. However when I returned they had answered all questions, were very accommodating to my schedule, and very conscientious. My phlebotomist name was Megan R. at the UVMC office and she was great!!

The staff is wonderful and always very helpful. We just did a COVID 19 drive thru test and the poor technician had no shelter and was standing in the rain administering tests. Please provide some sort of shelter for both rain and heat since she will be standing on blacktop in the hot sun s summer hits. But please know she never complained at all and was just as nice and pleasant as if it were a sunshine day.

I had to receive a covid test prior to a surgery. I had an appointment I arrived early the lady that did my testings name is Taneha. She was very nice talk to me through the whole procedure tell me what to expect and what to do after the testing. Wish me good luck at my surgery she was very nice and friendly

This is an excellent drive through COVID testing site. We have tested here 3 times and the staff is always friendly. My only complaint is having to fill out paperwork when it is already in the system through Compunet/Solv. They could just verify me with an ID check. The service and timing is very good! Thank you.

- Verified patient on 11/18

It was a pleasant experience. Check in was quick, and the wait was minimal. The clinician was nice and proficient. Blood tests are never pleasant, but this visit was as good as can be. Thank you all for your dedication to your patience. 😊

- Verified patient on 10/23

The staff were super nice. Everything works as quick as possible. They Came in and did a check of us after our Covid test. Told us what to do if we were still feeling bad in few days and give us some information to help my leg pain, swelling and hurting. I have been to other Urgent cares before and I really hated them and I said I would never go back to one so I was really leery about coming to this one to get my Covid test. But now I know there is a urgent care I can go to if I ever need to. Everything was super great people were friendly and I did feel comfortable there. So thank you so much for that.

Two young women greeted me making sure I was able to check in properly. They led me to the right room and spoke in a friendly but professional way getting the blood test done comfortably. I told them it was sad when the highlight of my day was getting blood drawn but they made it seem that way.

- Verified patient on 11/21

I had a very pleasant experience. The lady who administered the test was very nice, helpful and knowledgeable. She lives in Pleasant Hill. She made it an almost pleasurable experience. I was greeted immediately and all went very smoothly! Thank you! Wait time was minimal! Immediately! My Surgeon set up the appointment. No cost!

Chrissy performed my covid test. Once she was finished she asked if I had any questions. I said no, but wanted her to thank the person who was communicating with me thru Solv. She said it was her. I appreciated so much that she let me know I could get my test almost 2 hours earlier than my appt time. She was knowledgeable, professional and personable. A+ for Chrissy!!

Everything went well, no wait time but the dr complained about not getting all the test that she ordered just went back the day of the drs appointment. 1st one was on Looney Rd in Piqua the 2nd tests were on South Dorset in Troy.

I had an appointment so everything went as scheduled. Everyone who works there are the greatest. Treat you so well. Room is always clean. No problem with the test. Booked my appointment on line. The providers was really great. Very friendly. No wait as I had an appointment. Like the pad for check in.

I walked into compuNet for a blood test. I easily signed in and waited only a few Minutes before the technician came and got me. We had a nice chat as she explained how to access my results. The blood test went quickly, no pain and no bruise. Very well done.

I had heard scary stories from people about how awful COVID testing was but, even though it was momentarily uncomfortable, it was completed very quickly. No after effects at all and I went merrily about my day.. i have already recommended Compunet to my friends. Thank you for a good experience.

Very good experience. I had no wait time at all! They have a very efficient and effective system for keeping patients moving. Staff was very friendly and was able to all my questions. I really liked their set up because I had no unnecessary or unwanted contact with strangers. I would definitely recommend this testing site to everyone!

The nurse was very friendly, but also professional, and my test did not bother me one bit! The paper work was easy to fill out and it was nice to get a paper with directions for finding out my test results. Nice job!!

I received a Covid test for an upcoming procedure. The staff was friendly especially the girl in Troy, Ohio that was walking back and forth to the cars. She is a hard worker. She was professional and kind. I have recommended compunet to family and friends. Thank you for making my visit comfortable!

After I was ordered a covid test before leaving I made an appointment around 11am and the first available appointment was at 3:18pm. I had a lot of time to kill even after stopping at Walmart to get vitamins they told me to take. Then I stopped by the pharmacy to get my prescription. I still had 3hours before my appointment. Not knowing how long the line would be I left & arrived at the testing center at 2:50pm. They told me it was fine that I was early. Now I wish I would have went hours earlier. It's not fun sitting in the car for hours killing time when you feel horrible. If only there is a way to get an earlier appointment when you actually have symptoms so you don't have to wait so long. Or a number to call to ask someone if they can see you sooner.

Troy Lab Tests

Lab tests take samples of your blood, urine, saliva, and other bodily secretions, which are then analyzed in a lab to help doctors diagnose and treat certain illnesses. Lab tests can be used to diagnose an illness, detect changes in an existing condition, and monitor how your body responds to a therapy, among other things. They can also be used to monitor the progression of a disease or a set of diseases.

If your doctor is unable to make a definitive diagnosis of your disease, or if you are having a variety of symptoms that could indicate a variety of disorders, he or she may request a lab test. To see how you're responding to a drug or to check if you're at risk for certain diseases, lab tests may be performed. If your doctor is unable to make a definitive diagnosis of your disease, or if you are having a variety of symptoms that could indicate a variety of disorders, he or she may request a lab test. To see how you're responding to a drug or to check if you're at risk for certain diseases, lab tests may be performed.

Some lab tests require no preparation at all, while others may require you to fast for eight to twelve hours before the test in order to avoid erroneous results from certain meals and beverages. Your healthcare provider may advise you to cease smoking, exercising, and taking certain medications and nutritional supplements for many hours or days before your blood test.

Before your lab test, ask your doctor for precise instructions to follow to minimize erroneous results and multiple trips to the lab for additional testing. A lab worker may use a needle to draw blood from your arm or prick your finger to collect a small sample of blood during a blood test. During a urine test, your physician will ask you to go to the restroom and urinate in a sterile cup, then set your sample on a shelf where a lab technician can pick it up and process it. The personnel at the lab testing facility will demonstrate how to do each type of test.

Your doctor or the lab provider can give you a more accurate estimate of when your lab test results will arrive.

  • What is a routine lab test?

A basic lab test may evaluate your red and white blood cell counts to discover if you have anemia, a blood infection, or blood cancer. It may also test fat levels in your blood to determine your risk of heart disease and examine the health of your organs, such as your heart, kidneys, and liver. Your healthcare provider will be able to explain what a typical lab test entails.
