It was very easy to schedule an appointment online. Check in was quick and easy. All the staff members I interacted with at Quality Urgent Care & Wellness in Pensacola, FL were very nice. And. The best part is that they all appeared to get along with one another. The Front Office Clerk, the Medical Assistant and the doctor were All efficient and effective in their jobs. This is one of the best run office's I've been to in the Pensacola area. I would recommend this provider and office staff to anyone who has a need to seek out an Urgent Care center

Omg!!! Their fast and efficient as can be depending on the patients.. I went back quickly with severe lower back pain and was treated with a five star treatment even after I arrived home as they called the next morning just checking in on me and how I was. They followed up again several days later. WOW is all I can say. The treatment is way too awesome compared to any Dr Offc I’ve ever been in. Fairhope surg Care is a 5 Star for me!

About Hepatitis test

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), anyone who has been exposed to certain risk factors should get tested for hepatitis. These risk factors include sharing needles, having unprotected sex, being born to a mother with hepatitis, or having close contact with someone who is infected. Additionally, individuals who have traveled to countries with high rates of hepatitis, or those who have received a tattoo or piercing in an unclean environment should also consider getting tested.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for hepatitis is crucial as it is often a silent disease, with many people not showing symptoms until the disease has progressed. Early detection can lead to treatment that can slow the disease progression, prevent serious liver damage, and reduce the risk of spreading the disease to others. According to the CDC, an estimated 2.4 million people in the United States are living with hepatitis C, and many are unaware of their status due to lack of symptoms.

Hepatitis testing options in Gulf Shores, AL:

Urgent care and walk-in clinics

Quality Urgent Care and Wellness in Pensacola, FL, and Robertsdale Urgent Care in Robertsdale, AL are two nearby locations where you can get tested. You can book same-day and next-day testing appointments at each through Solv’s website and mobile app.

Primary care providers

Primary care providers are another reliable option for hepatitis testing. They can provide comprehensive care, including testing, treatment, and follow-up care.

Free STD testing and community health centers

Community health centers often offer free or low-cost hepatitis testing, making it accessible for those with limited resources.

At-home testing

At-home testing kits are also available for those who prefer privacy and convenience. These kits can be ordered online, used at home, and sent back to a lab for analysis.

Prevalence of hepatitis in Gulf Shores

While specific data for Gulf Shores is not readily available, Alabama has a higher prevalence of hepatitis C compared to the national average, according to the CDC. This suggests that residents of Gulf Shores, as part of Alabama, may be at a higher risk and should consider getting tested.

Risk factors related to hepatitis in Gulf Shores

Risk factors in Gulf Shores may be similar to those in other parts of Alabama. These could include intravenous drug use, unprotected sex, and lack of access to healthcare services. Additionally, socioeconomic factors such as poverty and lack of education about the disease may contribute to the higher prevalence.

Other STDs in Gulf Shores

In addition to hepatitis, other STDs such as gonorrhea, chlamydia, HIV, and syphilis are also prevalent in Alabama. These diseases often share similar risk factors and transmission methods with hepatitis, which emphasizes the importance of getting tested for all STDs if you are at risk.
