Everyone was wonderful here, Zachary the PA was absolutely fantastic. Scheduling online was easy, almost no wait when I arrived. I didn’t even have to leave the room for an X-ray. I was in and out in less than 45 minutes.

Woke up with a very sudden sore throat as the primary issue. My ears sore, swelling & fatigue. It’s not often I feel ill enough to book an appt with urgent care but this had such a quick onset I didn’t feel wise to wait or push though it. The front desk staff & initial nurse were kind & friendly. The facility was very clean & easily accessible. However, the primary doctor was cold & not very helpful or insightful. I was refused antibiotics even though my ears showed signs of infection. I am an adult in 30s & had a tonsillectomy almost a year ago to improve my health. This past procedure was used as an excuse why I shouldn’t have antibiotics. More of an assumption of being exposed to too much antibiotics, which I do not agree with. Doctor told me to watch out for my ears so they don’t rupture because they are bulging. The only meds prescribed were allergy. Then instructed to rotate pain meds. This is the first time I have felt sick since having tonsils removed & is still new in some ways to navigate. I’m five days past the urgent care appt & feel absolutely miserable. I’ve taken meds as instructed & got worse. My throat & ears have lots of pain. I called the urgent care back to no avail or additional aid beyond suggesting for me come in again, which would charge me again. Luckily my primary care doctor was able to see me. I was diagnosed with a severe ear infection on top of a sinus infection that my body has clearly been fighting hard over. I was prescribed steroids & antibiotics at my primary doctor visit. There was little understanding why urgent care didn’t do this in the first place. Definitely feel that I was not taken seriously at urgent care, so the overall experience was extremely upsetting. Advice would be to resolve what is noticed within very first visit, so whatever is going on doesn’t worsen.

our family prefers premier health next to dlm.  it’s usually a very short wait.  the front office staff are friendly and efficient.  the pay we’ve seen a few times (melissa?) was knowledgeable and has great bedside manner.  my wife recently had a very sore eye. melissa used 2 different techniques to find the problem.

I was experiencing flu-like symptoms at the start of this week. Setting up an appointment online and completing the paperwork ahead of time was easy. When I arrived, I had no wait. The receptionist was friendly. The APRN, Max, took good care of me while I was there and prescribed a medication for me. I recommend this provider to anyone seeking medical care.

I received texts prior to coming in confirming my appointment and the a text to check in when i arrived. Heidi took my insurance card and ID the saw me to a room. She took thorough history of symptoms, and check with Melissa APRN to see whst tests to run! Heidi explained test and how it would go and length of time it would take. Melissa was friendly took thorough history and explained all the tests she would run and how long results would take. In mean time she prescribed medications and informed me when test results would likely be back. Melissa also included what OTC remedies I could use for symptoms. Overall a great experience especially when I was feeling so awful. Great job highly recommend to others in this community! Thank you!.

Appt was at 10:40. I walked in, was immediately greated by a very friendly nurse who escorted me to an exam room. She entered information about my illness and insurance into the computer and processed my co-pay. Another nurse took my temp, blood pressure, pulse and oxygen level. Very soon after, the doctor came in to discuss my symptoms and examed my ears, nose, throat and breathing. She discussed medicine options to decide best approach for me to proceed. She ordered prescriptions from my chosen pharmacy and sent me on my way. It was my best overall experience with seing a physician. No delays in waiting room or exam room. Fast friendly service that involved my thoughts on the decision on the treatment chosen!

Receptionist (Gracieanna)loudly asked for all waiting room to hear if I was using Medicare? I have been here numerous times using private insurance and nothing provides a reason for such a question. I arrived 30 minutes early. While I was waiting, Three white women show up without appointments, ask questions, Complete the Solv questionnaire at the desk and all get seen before me. When I asked Gracieanna about my appointment, then she stated, oh you’re next. There was no one else left in the waiting room. Once seen the male nurse didn’t weigh me but asked me to tell him my weight and began a discourse about me taking medication for high blood pressure and having been referred by a doctor. When I explained to him, I had never visited for anything other than a Covid test, he was dismissive and provided me with none of my vitals. Temp, blood Pressure and O2. The doctor did provide my vitals after I asked and her bedside manner was the standard of professionalism and care that I have encountered in the past. Without my prior experiences, I would never return; however, I hope this staff team I encountered was an anomaly.

1)When i got there it was 19 people in there. No way you could be 6 feet apart 2) The wait time for me was 1 hour. I have nevered waited this long in a compunet. 3) No one was at front to ensure every one registered. One man was so mad, told employee he had been waiting for 90 minutes and other people went before him. She said she would check and took his name. She came back and called the next person, He then said did you check? She said she was going to right now. He did not sign in. That's why someone should be at front desk to ensure everyone registers. Elderly people need help. 4) The lady who took my blood was wonderful! Very friendly and polite

I needed to have bloodwork done, so I went to Solv (I have the app on my phone) and scheduled a time. I arrived promptly, signed in on the tablet at Compunet, found my appointment on the tablet & sat down. I had only sat for a minute or two before they called me back. The ladies working were so nice & friendly. I got my blood drawn (I could barely feel a thing! 😊) & was out in about 10 minutes from the time I got there! I've been coming here for years & have always had good experiences.

My husband and I had an excellent experience today. We went for a COVID antibody test and they were able to take us together. There was no wait and the staff checking us in was very efficient. Every aspect of our experience today was excellent, from the nurses to the blood draws to the time spent with the doctor. I think Guidewell is the BEST urgent care facility in the area!!! Dr. Maxwell is excellent. He spent a lot of time with us and answered every question we had regarding vaccines, therapeutics, antibodies, etc. Again, they’re the best urgent care in the area.

My clinician was Celeste. She was awesome. I love how culturally competent and willing to be inclusive and diverse that she was. She pronounced my name. And then ask me if she said it right. I love that she didn't say, "I'm just not even going to try because I'll butcher it." That's just so culturally insensitive. But Celeste was amazing. She really made me feel at ease. Getting blood drawn is never fun, but she made it Go by fast. She was amazing at bedside manner. The front desk staff were super nice as well. Good job.

Patty and Emma are so awesome and amazing! Emma has been the best phlebotomist that I have ever experienced. She is kind, friendly and you can tell she has learned a lot because of how thorough she is. I would recommend her to everyone I know. Patty is the sweetest lady and really did a great job of keeping me calm while getting blood work. My mom and I absolutely love Patty’s bubbly personality. I will always come to CompuNet! We absolutely love everyone here! Angelique at the front desk was so friendly and attentive to me and the other patients. 10/10 Amazing staff at the Paragon location.

People who draw my blood have historically had a hard time even finding a vein, but Aliya (not sure on the spelling) is still a student and did an AMAZING job!! I even asked to speak to her supervisor because she was so excellent. She chatted with me as she was getting things ready and I didn’t even feel the needle go in! I have to get a blood draw every few months for my thyroid, and I will come there and wait for Aliya every time!! She is outstanding! I told her I think she’s a natural! Thank you, Aliya!!

I get my INR done & Thursdays are my only day to do that I went to the coumadin clinic & was told that they will be closed on Thursdays due to staffing issues. Which was alittle annoying so I called & left a message as to what other options I had to continue to get it checked on Thursdays Ryan called me back & told me to go to the regular draw station so I went back to the hospital & the very nice phlibotomist lady said there was an order & they couldn't draw so I left again but decided to call the coumadin clinic before leaving the hospital & Ben answered he was so nice made me feel like a priority & he fixed the situation to were I could go back in & get my blood drawn both Ben & the women who drew my blood were very helpful & apologetic & did everything to make me feel like my needs were important. Thank you for your professionalism & caring hearts for your patients.

Check in staff and my nurse was great that Dr I had today was less than kind and needs to work on her attitude and the way she comes across I understand during these times the Heath care staff deals with a lot but if the people checking you in and the nurses who are doing ALL the grunt work like getting the Covid test blood work etc and they can still be kind and have a good attitude so can the Dr who just has to come in and say self isolate until we get your results. I felt like I was a burden to the Dr vs a patient.

This location and specifically Ashleigh and Jasmine were extremely helpful in fixing some messed up labwork issues from another location and a week of phone calls with very rude support staff. These two seriously saved the day. Phone support needs to remember customer service, treat callers with kindness, and own up to companies mistakes when they happen. No one is perfect and mistakes will happen but passing blame and offering no solutions is no way to treat a phone caller. Thank you again to Ashliegh and Jasmine for taking the time to correct the mistakes, fix my orders, collect the tubes. All in a timely manner. As a hopeful mama to be with loads of every other day bloodwork and the stress of having specifically timed blood work completed incorrectly you two were a breath of fresh air.

The WSU physician building is my favorite compunet location to have blood drawn. Diane is excellent and is able to get it done on first poke. I've been to other locations, and ended up feeling like a pin cushion (more than 10 pokes to get blood drawn). I was treated there more like a doll rather than a human. And, I didn't see any recognition that they were learning from their mistakes. But, Diane at your WSU location has always treated me like a valued customer. She is gracious, kind, knowledgeable, and experienced. I feel fortunate to be able to go there to get blood drawn.

I’ve recommended NextCare to folks because I usually have a great experience there. Today was a bit bazaar. Went in for an antibody test. The receptionist and tech were amazing. The doctor came in and literally tried to convincing me not to get the test. Saying it wasn’t inaccurate. I read and signed a paper stating it wasn’t but was still interested. She then told me that I may have to pay $150 as some insurance companies don’t cover it. I said okay, I still want it. Then she said okay well I have to order it and you will have to go to a lab! I was like why would the website state antibody tests are available if they cannot draw blood. She told me she would have to ask since things change daily. I’m surprised she entered the room immediately trying to discourage me from getting the test AND not educated on the antibody test process. It was very weird.

- Verified patient on 11/23

The staff were wonderful. The EMT was patient and kind to a babbling 13 year old. The triage was very thorough. He was also an amazing phlebotomist! He was so good my daughter didn’t even realize the blood draw started and kept her calm. The doctor was very clear and explained what everything was. We felt confident in knowing what was happening. The only thing I didn’t understand was why when we were the only people there, no one checked in before us, that it was over an hour before we were seen? We were there for almost three hours.

- Verified patient on 7/20

I am impressed with Your Doc’s In. The checkin was short and simple. Then I received a text with how many people were ahead of me. Once I was called back to a room. The nurse immediately took my vitals. The doctor was in within 5 minutes. After examining and asking questions he decided he needed to send me to the hospital for tests for a blood clot. He had me stay in the room until he called ahead to let them know we were coming. All personnel were very friendly. I will definitely use them again

- Verified patient on 3/22

The most upsetting lab experience I have ever had. We (my husband and I) waited 50 minutes to get blood drawn for routine screening. This has never happened before at this lab or any other one I have visited. I am 80 years old so there have been MANY times I have visited a lab. When I finally got called inside, I was told by the phlebotomist that they had “a difficult patient” and that’s what caused the backup. I think the staff should have told all the waiting patients that there had been a problem and apologized for the wait. There were a couple of people with walkers and some with canes so they were not as comfortable as others while waiting. There wasn’t any consideration given to the waiting patients by the person at the window. This must be changed.

The phlebotomist (Jenny) at Miami Valley South Hospital was very kind and efficient with the excessive blood draw I had to do today (24 Sept 21). I told her I am always very nervous with blood draws, but usually everything works out fine. She listened well and used larger tubes, just in case I fainted in the middle of it. I wasn't even a little dizzy; just hot. The draw was absolutely quick and painless! There was over an hour long wait (due to staff shortages), but I waited less than half the time of other patients who didn't use Solv. Not a bad day at Compunet! Thank you, Jenny. ☺️

The girls were amazing, they couldn’t find my blood order from the doctor and both staff members took turns staying on hold for over 20 minutes waiting to speak to my doctors office. I felt bad it was passed 12 when they closed and they kept telling me it was ok and that they wanted to just get me taken care of so I didn’t have to come back the next day. For doing something I hate (getting blood work) they made my experience Amazing. They are ROCK STARS in my book! The girl that took my blood I didn’t even feel a prick she is an amazing phlebotomist. Thanks ladies so much

Provider was awesome. She had to call my number because she couldn't hear me through video chat. She listened throughly and understood well. She took the time to make sure I understood also. So far I've not had any problems here at this clinic as there is alot of turn overs at my old doctors office. The last lady at Cleveland Family Health is pure rude and miss know it all. And had to go through hell get her do anything. But I'm very pleased, grateful & blessed to have changed doctors. My first video visit at any doctors office went more thdn amazing. What a kind hearted understand caring provider I had today. I really like how one one my meds. She decided hold off on till I go get blood work. I totally ***,*** times recommend this clinic. Only few providers who care and listen to there patients this is one that does. Thank you so much for your help since I started going go your clinic. I'll for sure recommend to all my social media friends. God bless 🙌

I’ve always avoided this particular Compunet due to how crowded it was. This morning I found the opposite with few people waiting for lab work. What I was so impressed with was the service I received after checking in. The lab technician/nurse was so efficient but sincerely interested in me as a person. She told me her name but at this moment I don’t remember but I’d like to thank her! Since I had 2 orders from 2 different doctors, she took special care in getting the 5 tubes of blood using a special narrow tube apparatus. So thoughtful— I didn’t feel a thing! Great experience. Thank!!

The overall experience was exceptional. The facility is very clean. The day I went there was only a ten minute wait time. The one thing that I was displeased with was the front desk. I walked in and I was asked if I had an appointment to which I said no but I’d like to make one for both the covid nasal swab and the blood antibody test. I got the roll eye and was asked if I tried to make it online. There was literally no one in the facility at the time, to say she was busy. Then I was told the antibody test isn’t covered by my insurance. I left thinking she might be having a bad day. When I went back for my test, it was the same person and i showed her my explanation of benefits that in fact my insurance did cover antibody testing. This time she said “what do you need it for, it’s a waste of time”.

About Blood Tests

Blood tests are used as valuable snapshots of your current overall health and can be an effective way of catching illness or disease early, or measuring how you are reacting to new or on-going treatment. There are a variety of types of blood work with most common tests being complete blood counts (CBC), complete and basic metabolic panels (CMP, BMP), thyroid panels, nutrient tests, and sexually transmitted disease (STD) tests.

Each of these blood tests are fairly common and can be performed in a variety of settings including testing labs, primary care offices, urgent care centers, and even retail clinics and some pharmacies. Solv even has clinic partners in the Dayton-area that offer online scheduling, allowing you to book a visit convenient to your schedule and skip the wait. The tests themselves take only a few minutes and usually are performed by a nurse or technician where they:

  1. Clean the area where they will draw blood from, usually your upper arm
  2. Tie a band to your upper arm to make your veins more visible
  3. Put a needle gently into a vein to draw blood into the attached tube
  4. Remove the needle, then the band from the vein when complete
  5. Cover the draw site with a bandage

Risks associated with blood work are very low, but could possibly include slight pain or discomfort at the draw site, dizziness or even fainting from blood loss, or vein puncture. It’s important to discuss any concerns you may have with your medical provider before the procedure begins.
