Refused to treat me even though I would be full-pay
On Easter Sunday I was very ill with some sort of virus. We had recently moved and I did not yet have a doctor (and it was Sunday, anyway), so I went to this walk-in clinic. I am on Medicare. The receptionist told me they do not accept Medicare, and I said that's fine, I will pay he full amount, I am very ill and need help. She refused to let me see a doctor. I asked for a supervisor, who came out and said that "Medicare will not allow us to treat Medicare patients." I didn't know any better so did not argue, just left, still miserably sick. After recent research I see that she lied to me. I guess I should have said I had no insurance and was self-pay, then they would have treated me.
