    Worst non-Dr ever (Physicians Assistant)

First and foremost, this place has changed ownership and as a result have no previous records aside from patient name. So while they may pretend that they know the medical history, they do not. Now here is the main complaint, which is borderline negligent and will be reviewed by a lawyer. My wife had a back issue due to a work injury about a year and a half ago. Where it was done through workman's comp at this Dr. she went there this time since she was under the assumption they were the same place (since name and location was not changed). When she got there she figured out it was not really the same place but went ahead with the initial visit to get this started again. After a very very brief examine which amounted to the asking of a couple questions and the basic medical history stuff they concluded (mind you this was a NP not a Dr) she most likely has a bulged disk but have no concrete proof of such hence they ordered the X-Ray be done to verify and that she start physical therapy immediately. Stop right there for a second and think about that, start physical therapy without a definitive diagnoses, a suggestion that if followed could compound the injury further seeing as they know as much as we do at this point as to the extent of the injury. This could further aggravate the injury or create a new one without knowing exactly what is wrong. Basically a step that should have been referred to after the X-Ray had been examined. So that there in and of itself is a dangerous and negligent move. Then on top of that, seeing and knowing she has an injury, knowing she had/has an open workers comp case with the injury, and her being on chemo, blood pressure meds, and transfusions they gave her absolutely nothing for the pain. Look, I know there is a problem in the country with abuse of pain medication, however there are non-narcotic substitutes that could have been written. Anything to help my wife get a little bit of comfort while we wait for the X-Ray, but not so much as a Advil or direction on any OTC medication to take to help with the pain. Now before you go off thinking we don't know what we are talking about medically or thinking "what you know better than a Dr", first realize that this was not a Dr. but a glorified nurse and secondly both my wife and I are medical professionals and have been for a combined total of 24 years. Both of us have a background that screams "WTF are you doing" to this diagnosis and PoA. So to sum up, they are about as competent as a CNA doing an exam and are so bias/scared of the pain med issue that now someone on Chemo and with an obvious bulging disk cannot even get relief. They are forcing 2 professionals to actually break a law so my wife can sleep tonight in the bed as opposed to the chair she has had to sleep in due to pain....ridiculous. Avoid these clowns, you are better off going to an ER or another clinic. To put it another way, this place didn't even have electronic BP cuffs, thermometers, etc.... only thing they checked electronically was her O2 sats. So sub par service, equipment, diagnosis, attitude, and overall terrible experience that just got added to a painful experience. Way to go guys, you made a cancer patient cry, you should be proud of yourselves. I will be writing to any and all media outlets as well as the company that purchased this business to express my opinion as well. I only hope one media outlet puts it out there so others can avoid the same terrible level of medical care......or in their case medical "we don't" care. If I could post this with 0 (zero) stars I would, but this site makes us use some form of rating so I had to put 1 (one), but believe me, they don't even rate that high.
