This clinic has shorter than average waiting periods

Short Wait Time

I saw Dr. Hunter during the first week of January 2019 on a Sunday. He was professional yet certainly friendly enough, thorough, and also knowledgeable about various medications including rarely used ones with their historical dosages and other history. A really great doctor! Very pleased to know that he is practicing in the Surfside Beach area.

Getting Tested for STDs in Myrtle Beach, SC

Who should get tested for STDs?

Anyone who is sexually active should consider getting tested for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), especially those with multiple sexual partners or those who engage in unprotected sex. According to the CDC, certain groups are at a higher risk, including young people aged 15-24, men who have sex with men, and pregnant women. It's also crucial for individuals who have been sexually assaulted to get tested.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for STDs is an essential part of maintaining your overall health. Many STDs do not show symptoms, making regular testing the only way to know for sure if you have one. Early detection and treatment can prevent serious health complications, such as infertility, certain types of cancer, and increased risk of HIV infection. Moreover, knowing your status can help protect your sexual partners from getting infected.
