    feeling better already

I went here after my regular doctor refused to call in an antibiotic prescription without listening to my lungs again for the second time. I had a fever of over 101° and was having trouble breathing. These people were so caring. I was so sick that I couldn't even fill out their paperwork. They took me right in and started working on me while another person asked the questions from their paperwork. After the initial tests and a chest xray they determined that I have pneumonia in both lungs. They immediately gave me an IV, 2 antibiotic shots, and several breathing treatments. All this only took 2 hours and they sent me home with another antibiotic prescription and told me to come back on Sunday but that I would be feeling better in 2 days. It has now been less than 12 hours and I know they were right because I already feel better. From now on I will only be seeing my regular doctor for my maintenance meds. When I get sick I will be coming here again.
Great people and great service. Kudos.

Urgent Care in Mansfield - don't even go there

One PA (no doctor), 6 examining rooms, and staffed with rude, incompetent and uninformed personnel. While waiting an hour and a half with my second daughter, my observations found the facility to be a poor representation of a professisonal business. The PA never took her hooded fur jacket off and nothing more on than too-small spandex leggings. As new potential customers arrived and saw a full waiting room, staff was only able to answer the "how long a wait" with "I have no idea." Really ? an hour and a half minimum - and they couldn't estimate that on the 6 examining rooms full and not a spare seat in the reception area? The actual care given my daughter? The nurse tried twice to insert a needle for an IV; bent one needle and left the other site with a bruise that is still showing two weeks later. When we told the PA we weren't given them a third needle attempt, the response was "ok, good bye". I encourage everyone to go elsewhere - we have wonderful facilities in Mansfield - just NOT at Urgent Care on Trimble.

I filled out my paperwork while waiting about 20 minutes to be taken to an exam room. The staff was somewhat indifferent chit-chatting behind the receptionist desk.
The exam room was filthy. There was dried blood on the floor around the exam table, dark fingerprints on the drawers and sides of exam table, and as I looked around the room it became apparent that nothing had been appropriately cleaned or sanitized in some time.
I got up and walked out telling the staff that the room was filthy. I asked how they could treat people in such filth. The staff immediately became indignant telling me "goodbye" and "just go".
I told them that I would be contacting the local health department and the staff just continued to say "goodbye" repeatedly.
I had to wonder if they had ever been trained about cross-contamination or staph infection.
I could understand and overlook maybe torn carpeting or worn furniture, but I draw the line when I see other people dried bodily fluids and long-term grime build up. Time to go.
There is one star for each category by default...I give them minus 5 stars.
