Short Wait Time

This was my first time to Complete Urgent Care, and to be honest.. after the care I received from Stephanie yesterday, I won’t be wasting my time with another Urgent Care every again! The drive from Perkinston was well worth it! I had been severely sick since I had my second COVID shot on July 7th. Yes, I suffered for 20 days before I finally couldn’t take it anymore! Her bedside manner, the way she truly listened to me and didn’t act like I was just another person, but someone she was seriously considered about, was what will bring me back this clinic! 6 prescriptions and almost 24 hours later, I feel loads better already! Stephanie, I know this line of work can make you lose your sense of good in others, but please I beg you to never lose how caring and loving you are for patients! I only wish I could have you as my regular PC!

Getting Tested for STDs in Ocean Springs, MS

Who should get tested for STDs?

Anyone who is sexually active should consider getting tested for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). This is particularly important for those who have multiple sexual partners, engage in unprotected sex, or have had an STD in the past. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), certain groups are at a higher risk and should get tested regularly. These include sexually active women under 25, men who have sex with men, and individuals with HIV.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for STDs is crucial for your health and the health of your sexual partners. Many STDs can lead to serious health complications if left untreated, including infertility, certain types of cancer, and increased susceptibility to HIV. Furthermore, many STDs can be asymptomatic, meaning you could be infected and unknowingly spreading the disease to others. Regular testing allows for early detection and treatment, preventing these potential complications.

Risk factors related to STDs in Ocean Springs

Several factors may contribute to the high STD rates in Ocean Springs and the surrounding areas. These include a lack of comprehensive sex education in schools, limited access to healthcare and STD testing, and high poverty rates, which can limit access to preventative care and treatment. Additionally, stigma around STDs and testing can prevent individuals from seeking the care they need.
