Strep Throat in and out with efficiency and smiles, thank you!!

I wanted to write this review because I have seen the improvements made in the Covenant MedExpress staff and procedures. After trying to self sooth my symptoms for a month my husband took me to the Urgentcare much to my resistance. I was happy to see at 6:00 pm only 2 people ahead of me. I was quickly registered and though it said 30 min wait was in in about 15 min. Three nurses came in and did the vitals, update, strep test and Monospot. I waited and when Stephanie Bovee came in with a bright smile and kind and listening ear I was glad it wasn’t someone that was going to give me the lecture about gargling and vitamins and tell me I’m tired and need iron I had done all of that and I know they need to say that but figured I would be talked to about not needing meds and be sent home more achy, tired, and frustrated than before. I did have Strep and Stephanie even checked my husband who had been having the symptoms also. Staff was excellent and kind, restored my faith in a once cold, slow, and never ending wait of a Urgentcare.

    Poor experience

Arrived with a visible rash and the flu. We were told there were 4 people in front of us. We waited 75 minutes just in the waiting area plus excessive time in the exam room. The facility is run down and they clearly don't care about service or wait time. Rash and flu flu everyone.....

Took my son in for an infection (pus sack) in his knee that recently had been cut open. The nurse was wonderful, as was the secretary. The Doctor however was very rude! My sons knee had to have the scab cut off so he could drain the pus sack. The doctor was not going to numb it, until when he started to clean it my son was in pain. So the doctor had to use a needle to numb the area first. No, my son doesnt like needles. Every time my son asked questions about what he was going to do the doctor answered very rude and would look at me and role his eyes. He then asked my son to help him figure something out. He asked my son how he can come in being a tough guy and doing dangerous things in life but cant relax while he cuts at his knee? He kept repeating, "Please tell me I would like to understand this!!" He blamed it on the generation! My son was on the edge of tears. When he went to stick the needle in his knee my son put his hand on his own leg to hold it still. The doctor backed up again and started yelling at him, "Why are you putting your hand next to mine while I have a needle?! Do you need me to bring a nurse in here to hold your arms downs?" Mind you my son is sixteen so its not like he was moving all over. He had his own hand on his own leg! When we were getting after instructions explained to us I didnt completely understand so I asked a question. Another eye roll and a "Let me start all over" Like I was stupid. I felt so bad for my son I wanted to either cry or get up and scream at the doctor for treating him this way. My son is a tough kid but has had a bad experience with needles and cutting on him from another doctor. The way he was talked to, I would be nervous also!! Will not go back as long as that doctor is there!!
