I know this is "urgent" care, but the trurh is many people use these facilities who have insurance or not. Its suppose to be professional, fast, and above all reasonably priced. Lets face it. If you could not breathe or had a major crisis like chest pains you would NOT go here but to the hospital on Pembroke RD and 172nd. Most urgent care are used by people with terrible coughs, sore throats, fever, minor cuts and bruises that require a look over but not hospitalization. There are MANY urgent care places that charge around $150-$300 for a thorough examination and treatment. I walked out of Baptist because when we asked the general pricing (we have insurance but a deductible so we knew we would pay) I was shown a plastic poster on the wall and was told I would get (3) different bills. 1) $200-$385- for the facility. 2nd) the doctors private bill. 3rd) any lab test, equipment, xray, or instruments needed. This was told to me for my severly sore throat and cough that would not allow me to rest at night. I walked out. The next day I went to an Urgent Care by my work in FTL and the entire visit was $165.00. The doctor was amazing and answered all my questions. He gave me 3 prescriptions and advised me on coupons to save even more at the pharmacy. THAT is what urgent care should really be. Not a rip off.

please do your wallet and favor, this place charged me $199 for 5 minutes service, no test no meds nothing, just for a quick check of vital signs and from there the PA or Dr, gave me a diagnosed. The month after the service I received another bill for $220 for the Dr services. This people did not tell pts about separate Dr fees, which I never heard off, I had to pay now in top of the $199 visit at the urgent, Dr fees of $220.
Please visit other urgent cares that really cares about the community.
