    Wait Time

I went to this clinic with UTI symptoms on a Sunday morning because I was uncomfortable since Friday evening and just could not wait any longer until my primary care doctor opened on Monday. WHY do these things always happen on a weekend for me?? Based on past experience, my primary care physician would send me to the hospital lab for a urine test, then get back to me in about 3 days to tell me if it's positive or negative. If positive then prescribe antibiotics. So that would usually mean many days of suffering before treatment began. So I went to this walk-in clinic instead - the waiting room was filled with sick people from all walks of life, coughing and some wearing masks. There is apparently a huge demand for this type of service especially on a weekend. Paperwork was quick and easy and uncomplicated and the woman at the desk was very nice. This doctor runs a very efficient office. He was calling people in himself about every 5 minutes. They were going in and out very quickly. When I was called in, I could see why. He just takes care of the problem at hand which was great. No weigh-in, no undressing, no checking everything else. He is very nice and friendly, and made me feel comfortable. He took my blood pressure, and had me give a urine sample which he tested with a dipstick right away. It was positive for infection and he said he would call in a prescription to the pharmacy, and I was done. My prescription was ready when I got to the pharmacy and I took one right away. This certainly beats going though the hospital for lab tests which are time consuming and expensive, and then waiting 3 - 4 days to get results and obtain any relief. The cost was $75.00 which well worth it to me to get this taken care of fast. I have a high deductible insurance plan so I had to pay out of pocket. This clinic was quick, convenient, and friendly and I would recommend it to others.
