PA made two mistakes, then lied about it

My wife has skin eruptions from poison ivy, and was using a prescription cream to treat them. After a week, she was running out of the cream and went to The Little Clinic at Krogers on PIB in Suwanee to get a new prescription. My wife also suggested that she might need a prednisone dose-pack, as suggested by a nurse friend of ours. The PA on duty, Jasmia Wallace, said she was putting the prescriptions in the computer and asked which pharmacy we used (CVS was my wife's answer, since we've used CVS for 8 years)). When I called our pharmacy to pick up the prescriptions, they said they had received no prescriptions. I called around and found that Ms Wallace had sent them to Kroger. When I went to pick them up, there was the prednisone but no cream. When my wife called today, the PA on duty called Ms Wallace and called my wife back, saying that Ms Wallace said she had clearly explained what she was doing and that she wasn't calling in the cream. Obviously, my wife disputed that claim, since that is why my wife went there in the first place. Ms. Wallace, who made two mistakes (missed drug, wrong pharmacy) was just covering herself, and the PA on duty basically called my wife a liar (bad thing to do when dealing with customers). The PA on duty today didn't even offer an apology. Obviously, this clinic is now off our list of choices for off-hours care, even though it is very convenient for us.

Quick and right to the point. Just what I needed!

I went in for severe face pain, and jaw pain. We had already thought it was a possible sinus infection and tmj issues, clenching my teeth at night. I arrived and there was one person before me, signed in and waited about 5 minutes or less for them to ask for my license and insurance card. I paid my copay which was way cheaper to pay than my urgent care visits. Right after that went into a room to get my vital etc. As soon as she was done, I went into another room were I met with Vini Sebastian, MSN, FNP-C. She was great, super nice and straight to the point. I had a exactly what we suspected. She quickly keyed everything into the laptop and gave me detailed instructions on my medications and sent my presccriptions to the CVS Pharmacy. Just like that I was on my way. Would definitely recommend if you work same hours as you primary care and can't really the off work at the moment. Staff was nice and friendly.

Smoking Cessation - Easy & Affordable

These 'Little Clinics' are a great idea! I simply showed up and asked about the $35 smoking cessation program I had read about online. Within 5 minutes, I was seen by Vini Sebastian, MSN, FNP-C. She was friendly, direct and helpful - as well as very encouraging of my desire to quit smoking! After taking my temp, listening to my lungs, and checking my blood pressure, she answered all my questions and faxed my prescription.

I have one more follow-up visit, which is free. So, basically, to quit smoking, you're looking at $35 plus the cost of the medication (I chose $30/month Zyban, but Chantix and NRT aids are also available.) A great deal, considering the ease of visits, the wonderful staff, the highly competitive price, and the money saved from not smoking! You can't put a price on good health, either!

I would heartily recommend this place for anyone needing acute care for minor issues like the common cold, flu shots and other vaccinations (like for traveling or work), pre-employment physicals, nebulizer treatments, Toradol injections, and so forth. Insurance is also accepted.

    Bad service

They close at 7:30. I showed up with my daughter at 7:25 and they wouldn't see her. I guess 7:30 is the time they expect to clock out so try to show up early with your illness so they can make their dinner date.

    Great Service

I couldn't get a hold of my regular physician this morning after feeling like I had flu symptoms. I'm an RN, I picked this clinic because of their association with University. I was not disappointed, the nurse practitioner was very knowledgeable and understanding and after a thorough exam and negative flu test, sent me home with medications for sinus infection and bronchitis. Thanks for the rescue.

    Glen is AWESOME!

My husband has no health insurance, all morning I been calling around to all the walk-in doc in box places to get the cheapest walk-in price and Strep Test lab price. Glen, the nurse practitioner, actually answered the phone himself. He explained that there was no wait at that moment but it is walk-in; no appointment. He also went out of his way to tell me the Rx that my husband may be prescribed for Strep or just sore throat. During my husband's appointment I was then able to call the Fry's Pharmacy and find out the prices of several antibiotics before Glen wrote the Rx. He made my husband feel better and now I can relax. THANKS!!

Don't waste your time and money!!

This Nurse Practioner is NOT competent enough to hear her patient's concern and prescribe medication as indicated! I am 100% sure my son has an upper respiratory infection, going on for 3 weeks now. He is constantly coughing and sounds terrible. He is congested and his sputum is yellow. He is miserable. This NP noted swollen lymph nodes and fluid in his ear. However, she chose NOT to treat him. She suggested Claritin! Claritin...I'm not joking. This child has never had a single problem with allergies or excessive drainage. She also noted his O2 Saturation to be 100%....so therefore he was ok and she couldn't treat him!! I almost laughed out loud at the notion that I would have taken him to the little clinic had I suspected he was not receiving adequate oxygenation. My son is 11 years old and I can't even remember the last time he has been to the doctor. We most definitely do not run to a dr for a cold. My son is very sick and will have to go to school tomorrow like this. I am totally disgusted at her lack of professionalism and her lack of medical knowledge. Now we will have to see a Medical Doctor to get him treated for his URI. I have no intentions of paying this bill. Don't waste your time at The Little Clinic of incompetence.

    Denied Treatment

Was completely shocked when Little Clinic in Smyrna TN at Sam Ridley Krogers turned my wife away when trying to visit. The representative pretty much told her to go to Murfreesboro because they wanted to go to lunch due to company wide lunch times. My wife being patient said "I will wait". They then insisted her go somewhere else because her sitting there made them look bad and couldn't guarantee someone would be there to see her. What a HORRIBLE facility and staff. Shame on your practices. You made yourself look bad.

    Will never go back!

I brought my husband here for a sinus infection. He had night sweats, was severely congested, his eyes were extremely puffy and he was having bad headaches for days on end. The wait time took near an hour and we were the only ones there. The doctor was wearing a mask because she was sick of being sick all time. She complained about how this was the worste job she had ever had. When all was said and done, after her rude attitude, she gave my husband a prescription for SUDAFED, and then told him she hates giving antibiotics because they will pretty much kill you- to sum it up. We paid 85 dollars, lost about 400 for missing work and left with nothing in the end. So now he has to suffer. If you hate getting sick and giving out medicine to actually make people better, you need a new profession Brauch! We will never be back.

Doctor is great! Wait time a little long but worth it

I have great experiences both times I have gone. Julie is great and my kid loves going to her. She has a real way with kids and has given us great advise and medicine which resolved both issues quickly on both visits. The wait can be pretty long and have not been able to get in some times but when you do its def. worth it.

    Great service!!!

Sunday morning and I needed some meds for an infection. The Little Clinic was suggested by Roane Medical Center and I called when they opened at 10:30 a.m. They were very helpful on the phone and said come on in. I arrived about 15 minutes later and after just a few minutes with paper work I was taken back, screened, seen by the doc and had the scrip called in. From start to finish (and picking up the scrip) took a whopping 20 minutes. I will recommend them and use them for my future needs (hope not too much!).
    Thank you very much!!!

    Not fast service!

The ladies running this clinic are unbelievably slow. I arrived at 2:20. Was told the NP would be about 10 min. (On lunch) who come into the office at 2:40 after clocking back in at 2:35 and then spending 5 min talking to a friend outside the office in front of me. Then goes in a spends another 10 min doing God knows what. When I complain they say 10 more minutes. Why? Do they not realize I can hear them talking and laughing. Such slow service. NOT going back. Very poor work ethics.

    Not Happy

They are the rude, inconsiderate, and have a major attitude. This is the second time I went there and I will not be going back. First time they take personal phone calls and ignore you for a long time without even being told how to sign it. I actually had pneumonia and didn't know it so you know how I felt. Second time came at 740 and said they were not taking anymore patients. We read online if we make it by 745 we would be seen. I know I am one person but I will be telling everyone. Sure you don't care but there are many options and we should be treated like they care.
