NextCare was first founded in 1993, and is based in Mesa, Arizona. Since it was founded, it has expanded to more than 10 states, and 136 clinics around the United States. NextCare Services Offered

The primary services offered by NextCare Urgent Care are for general illness treatment and minor injuries. These services include physicals, treatment for minor wounds and accidents, immunizations and vaccinations, laboratory services and STD testing, occupational medicine, and pediatric urgent care.

NextCare also offers on-site diagnostic testing such as EKGs, X-rays, and spirometry, as well as school and sports physicals, and more.

    Very clean, organized, professional!

    All the people working there made me feel great, with their smiles, friendly tones, professional mannerism. I usually dread going to a new doctor because you never know how they will treat you, but I had a good feeling about this place right off the bat. They are so advance too, touch screens, digital x-rays, and had my medication ready for me at the pharmacy since they had sent it through their computer while I was still at the clinic! Crazy advanced, thank god you are open on the weekends. Will you use guys in the future for sure!

    Worst Experience Ever!

    I went in on May 8, 2018 for bronchitis. The RN on staff (John Vermilyen, FNP) told me to call him on Saturday or Sunday (May 12 or May 13) to call him, leave a message, and ask him to call me back. The woman who answered the phone said nope, you have to come in. Are you kidding me? Does anyone talk to each other at that facility? I feel like total crap, you gave me NO meds when I was there on May 8, I'm STILL sick, and I have to pay you more money? Worst. Experience. Ever. I will NEVER go back here again.

    They will discriminate against you if you have any history of mental illness.

    I myself am a medical assistant, and the care they provide here is far below par and absolutely disgusting. They could cost someone their life.

    I came here concerned about my breathing with a long history of asthma symptoms and worsening acid reflux. I had already been to the ER the day before, so at this point I was very concerned about my health and my anxiety was flaring up worsening my asthma. After waiting two hours, not only did I hear the medical assistant and Doctor joke about how "interesting" my case was, I was denied transport to the ER after being told I could possibly have a worse condition that they did not have the equipment to screen for.

    After waiting an extra 25mins under the impression the physician on staff had called an ambulance for me, I was given attitude and disrespect and was told to call the ambulance myself since the doctor did not find it necessary. This was after the physician had told me the possibility of a worse condition and that I should go to the ER or another urgent care with proper equipment.

    After arguing with the ambulance who would not take me seriously since the physician decided to go home and not explain anything that had transpired, I arrived at the local hospital to discover I have a serious GI condition and should've been transported when asked.

    Do NOT waste you're time. They are rude, and discriminatory. Everyone deserves to be cared for and treated with respect regardless of pre existing conditions.

    I will give this clinic a break because I assume the flu season has kept them more than busy. I have been taking my family here for years and we love it. Unfortunately today it was very impersonal and in my opinion a little unprofessional. They gave me a diagnosis with my tests and hardly any inspection. I have a history of anemia and they didn't touch that and even miscommunicated info from the nurse to the Nurse practioner. They diagnosed me with a condition you are born with that I have never had and I'm 37 years old and the NP talked to me for literally a minute at most. I will still go there because our whole family loves it and they are normally wonderful but today I was a little disappointed

    I hesitated to write this review. However, it is in the best interest for the people who plan to visit from the surrounding communities. I have been here several times giving them the "benefit of the doubt". So now is the time to write a review. On Tuesday I went in with symptoms of the flu, and I knew the symptoms because I have had the flu before. While a short wait in the waiting room, I felt as if I knew the whole life story of the receptionist. As she was visiting with the other office clerk she was extremely loud and a little obnoxious to a sick person. After a few minutes of listening to the conversation at a loud decibel, out of my mouth without hesitation said "SHHHHHH". She responded with a laugh. Extremely, unprofessional. Complaint #2: The girl has my license and was informed that I would be private pay, she shouts out across the lobby "Um, (my name) Your health insurance with Blue Cross has expired".....Ok, well it hasn't expired, I chose not to pay the doubled premium, and what ever happened to HIPPA?? If I have a question about my husband you won't tell me anything, but you can shout my insurance information across the lobby? Complaint #3: I went in for flu, isn't the first thing a Dr. would do is take a swab for a flu culture....NOPE! Tells me that it is too late and I can't get Tamaflu because I have had symptoms too long and it won't work after 48 hours of symptoms. Ok....I had other symptoms of other stuff going on too, you should have swabbed me. That is the main reason I was there. Complaint #4: After DR. Decides I do have the flu she wants to give me a shot, and that was fine. But, when we asked for my husband (who was right there with me) to get a prescription of Tamaflu, if he should get the symptoms. The nurse came back in and said he could if he wanted to run through the circuit again. REALLY? We are in the room, waiting and PAYING privately and you want another appointment and another office call? That is not winning over customer service. Complaint #5: I had asked the Dr. for a prescription of Advair because mine was expired and I needed a refill. She did not write one. I came home and went to bed for the next 2 days because, I WAS SICK! I checked out and my bill there was $310.00 No Flu Swab; no Advair; no cough meds; just a shot. So they offer my husband a plan for $50.00 so he could save money. It is a good plan, but we still left there paying $185.00 for a shot and an office call. After the 2 days I called on Thursday to ask about the Advair....someone called back but gave me the phone number of 405-378-9325...ok, well that number did not work. So, I called the number she called me on, of course, you guessed it on HOLD!! Ok, so I call back Friday morning on HOLD again as long as I could wait. I called again at 3:45 Friday afternoon. Left my message, It is now 4:20 and I got a call back that I can get a prescription of Advair. Mind you, Advair costs me $300.00 to buy at the pharmacy, I am not calling it in just to have it on hand. So, finally, I now have a prescription to pick up so, I will need to end my review. The moral of the story: Find a good health care provider that you can call, that you can establish a relationship with, and above all will give you the personal service you need and deserve for the amount of money you spend! Thank you!

    Called in to be put on the list at 945 AM and there was 45 minute wait time. By 1145 we still didn't have a phone call stating it was our turn so we went to the clinic anyway. When we got there, we waited another 35 minutes to be seen And there was only 1 patient in a room ahead of us. AN ENTIRE HOUR AND A HALF LATER WE WERE FINALLY SEEN! RIDICULOUS! A staff of 1 doctor, 2 front office staff and 2 back office staff. WTH?? After we were seen, it took an additional 30 minutes just to get the scripts!! I will NEVER GO BACK!

    Waited 2 hrs to see doctor and my child had to go to work before she could be seen. The receptionist was no help and the nurse that came to get her as we were leaving was rude. There were 4 pts ahead of us and it was still 2 he wait. On top of that, the bathroom was disgusting. It had dried urine on the toilet and all over the floor. Will never go back

    As soon as we walked in, the red-haired receptionist was completely rude. As more people came in after us she became increasingly more rude. All we needed done was an X-ray and an evaluation and it took over two hours. Waited in the room alone for almost 30 minutes before someone came back. Will not be coming back

    My son needed to get a sports physical. My husband made an appointment online and received a confirmation. When they got there they were told that there were 4 people in front of them, even though they made an appointment in advance. Good thing he wasn't sick; what's the point of making an appointment if you still have to wait? Luckily he wasn't sick. My husband had to go back to work after waiting over an hour, so I came over there. We waited another 30 minutes. When I inquired about the wait, the red-headed receptionist was very rude and could not give me a time frame of when we would be seen. I asked her what the point of making an appointment was and she was EXTREMELY RUDE and could not give a good explanation. Finally, I called another urgent care to see if they could get us in. We requested our money back from Providence Urgent care and left after waiting over 2 hours. We were seen at the other facility in less than 5 minutes. The doctor at the other facility was very thorough and the staff were all very friendly. Providence Urgent Care was a lot better when Dr. Scott owned it. We have tried to use it a couple of times but have had bad experiences. Will not use Providence Urgent Care again. Need to replace the staff if you want people to come back. Not customer friendly at all!

    Horrible always went here will never go again. Save your money and go to a real doctor. Waited over an hour finally saw what was probably a nurse and she looked in my ears throat asked my symptoms and was gone in 5 min. Prescribed me a steroid same exact thing they gave my dad a few months and no antibiotic. Called back wanting an antibiotic and refused. Worst service ever.

    Never go to the urgency room for care. Wait time was over 2 hours. This place is a disgrace. After waiting for over 2 hours on a follow up from a previous visit to get told again they will not prescribe anything but a $300 inhaler even when diagnosed with bronchitis. Dr Edward Cashman should not be allowed to practice medicine. He is a disgrace and his bedside manner is horrible. You will waste $500 like I already have and still not have anything resolved.

    Have visited this clinic several times and last visit was to get a script for sinus infection that I developed. Today went to get a refill on last script as I have same problem as before. Young doctor decided he would not treat me as he wanted me to express every possible symptom of sinus infections, such as teeth hurting and pus coming out of my nostrils.
    So he would not renew script written by other more experienced doc at this clinic. My daughter asked if I received treatment and I explained this young fool wouldnt treat me. She is concerned and upset over this situation. I will have to get an appointment at my allergy specialist to get this taken care of properly. I thought I could depend on this place for treatment - I was wrong.

    Very dissatisfied! Dr sent my daughter to ER for IV fluids & antibiotics when they could have provided that service there. So I wound up paying $30 copay for the clinic & $60 copay for ER. I should have just went to the ER in the first place. The whole point in going to the clinic was for the lower copay. Also, Dr said my daughter couldn't get a Rocephin shot since she is allergic to pediazole, however that is what she got IV & was fine. If the Dr isn't going to treat you, why are they taking in patients? They just did labs. I expected treatment, not just being sent to ER. I will be using a different clinic in the future since Dr J refuses to treat!

    just wanted to pass on kudos for the kindness, quickness and professionalism that was shown to me on my visit over the weekend. Since this is a walk-in clinic I did not think a 20 minute wait was very long at all and once taken to an exam room was seen within 10 minutes. The doctor thought I was possibly having some issues with my heart and directed me to the ER for more tests. The care I received at UCGC was the same as it always is.......professional at all levels. I appreciate all of you from the front desk people to the doctors and nurses. I'm glad you are in Owasso!!! Keep up the good work!!!! BTW, no heart problems!!!

    Extraordinary quality, convenience, service and wait time!!! Four for four!!!

    I came in today to get a TB skin test done. I planned on getting the test finished today then going on my merry way. Little did I know, you have to come back two days later and come between a certain time period to get the test read. Due to being out of town, I would not be able to come during those hours, on that day, at this location. I want you to know I did leave with the test completed. Now I’ve got you confused. How could I possibly have gotten the test done without being able to come back to do part two of the test??? Let me tell you how my problem got solved…. if it was not for the lovely, personable, high quality staff at the front desk, it would not have been done. Plus I would not have been as happy and satisfied as I am! Not only was Denise super helpful and kind, but so willing to do what she did without me asking. She went OUT OF HER WAY to get my situation figured out. She called a different office in another state, figured out how far away the other location is, printed off directions, and did it all with a smile on her face!     Bad experience, I will not be back. My wife took my son in because he had a sore throat. He was seen by DR Jarvis who was very rude to her and seemed unconcerned about my sons ailments. He did nothing but tell us to use an over the counter medication. I would recommend one of the other non-emergency clinics, it was not worth the 50 dollar co pay.

    Not a good experience. Very long wait. Did not see a doctor seen a np who was rude. The medical asst. Said the dr. Was a woman & was not a doctor. Very slow service. Very disappointed & not satisfied with treatment plan.I would rate below zero....

    Don't Walk Through Their Door if you're sick!!!

    We were visiting Rockport from the Midwest last week. Had an awful sinus infection. Walked in on a Sunday morning at 8:59. (opened at 9) Already 3 people in waiting room filling out papers. One man was very, very ill and was left in the room for well over an hour. When I was called in to the room there were 7 of us in the outer waiting room.

    After an hour I was taken in and put in a room for another 1-1/2 hours. My husband sat in the room with me. After 2-1/2 hours we heard the PA (NOT a doctor) leave the room next door so knew we were next. At 3 hours she sticks her head in and tell us that there has been an emergency so it will be up to an hour longer. we are thinking the very ill man in the waiting room had a heart attack...which if so, could have been prevented if he was being tended to in a timely fashion.

    I am miserable and getting worse all the time. We were to drive to San Antonio and it was getting to the point that I didn't think I'd be able to handle the car ride. I was feverish, nauseous and in lots of pain.

    At 3 hours and 25 minutes SHE, the PA, walked in. My husband timed her. She looked in my throat, listened to my lungs...said I had drainage, would have the nurse give me a shot, prescribe an antibiotic. She started to leave. I asked her if I was contagious as she never did say if she thought it was my usual allergies or something more. I did not want to give this to my sister in San Antonio so we were thinking we'd just drive straight through to Iowa. She said snottily 'Everything is contagious!' ....which now I know...I guess heart failure is contagious...who knew!

    She asked if I had a cough and needed cough medicine prescribed. I said I was trying not to cough as it hurt. She sternly asked again 'SO do you need cough medicine or NOT?' I said I guess NOT! My husband said after she left the room that maybe I should get some cough med in case a bad cough started. He stuck his head out of the room and asked the nurse to tell the PA to call in a cough med also. We heard the PA tell the nurse it was TOO late....she had already called in the antibiotic! Seriously???

    She was in the room just short of 3 minutes. We waited another 25 minutes for the nurse to come give me the shot. The nurse said she would get my discharge papers. 20 minutes later my husband went to ask about the papers. As it was the other nurse had handed us some papers and those were what we needed....

    It was AWFUL. There was a very sick man who we heard say he had been there 2 hours when the emergency came in...(we thought anyone who comes in URGENT care is somewhat an emergency)...he was complaining and they told him that that's what you get at an urgent care facility.

    BTW...every time we looked out the nurses and the SHE PA were sitting at the desk chatting and laughing.

    This is NOT what an Urgent Care is all about. I took my mother after a fall to the Urgent Care in Omaha, NE...compare the populations. She was in and out and had had exrays in less that 45 minutes.

    This place needs to be closed OR completely REstaffed. They are in a retirement area so I would assume see many elderly. To make a sick person sit in a waiting room for up to 2 hours and then stick in a room for another 1-2 hours is despicable!

    As you can tell I am very distressed by this experience. This review will not even be shown to these people who are working there. This is very sad. This PA should not be left alone in this facility. She is rude, curt, surly and actually probably very unqualified to minister to patients. They need more than one person, preferably a doctor, on duty if they can't handle 7 patients (that's how many were there while we were there) in 4 hours!

    My review would rate as a -10.

    Too bad only 2 other people have posted reviews. I am posting this so they can strive to improve this center. I sent an email directly to the center but doubt it'll ever be read.

    I have been here twice. Once in November and I don't remember the time before that. Have seen 2 different doctors both were very attentive, took care of what I needed, found the staff very pleasant. In and out of clinic in 45 minutes. Would most certainly return.

    Again, don't go here if you're sick!!
    1)They were unable to find my records from June-they eventually found them.
    2)Heather was very abrupt, did not know how to spell many common meds for my med hx. She ran around and slammed things around in radiology, and told me that she would give me a list of local MDs, so I wouldn't come to urgent care...
    3)I do not feel that the medical care was adequate, and hope I never have to go back there.
    4) Overall, very, very unprofessional, except for the receptionist!!

    Horrific Experience

    This morning I accompanied a friend to this Urgent Care. As we waited in the lobby to be seen the young receptionist that greeted us acting in the most unprofessional manner. At one point she was overheard saying, "fat b*tch" while she was speaking on the phone. Being of large stature I found this to be very offensive. My friend and myself agreed that we will never return. Horrific experience.
