    urgent care refused

I had fallen and wanted to have my hip and leg x rayed since I have a rod in my left leg from a previous accident. The receptionist was cold, wanted my insurance info and the 40 dollar payment..which I provided. After a 20 minute wait ( there were 2 others waiting ), I was ushered into the exam room. the nurse took my blood pressure and found it to be very high...200 over 140 ...immediately called in the doc ..who advised me to go to an emergency room for treatment. Before I left, he asked me to sign a no recourse document..which I did.
had he been truly interested in my continuing health, he would have called for transport to a hospital. At any rate, if you are truly ill, do like the doc told me and go to a hospital where there may be professionals there to help .

Hate to say bad things, but...

I normally only like to write positive reviews, but I left the office upset because of treatment.

The examining nurse practitioner made a diagnosis before examination. Made assumptions and was belittling about health. I am under care of a physican and specialist for medical issues, but this facility, thought it was appropriate to continually give opinions about those health issues, which were unrelated to my visit and not knowing full medical history. Left the facility not confident in my diagnosis and upset. I would not recommend this facility.

    Very unhappy

I came to your location in East Cobb on Monday afternoon complaining about being sick. After hearing my symptoms the dr. stated I was just stressed due to upcoming surgery and seemed more interested in the upcoming surgery than my current health issues. I had stopped at the urgent care on the way home from a vacation I left early due to being sick and had not looked at myself in the mirror. I walked into my house and my husband wanted to know why I was bright turnip red all over. I was forced to wait very uncomfortably all weekend until I could go to my dr. today. I was not stressed I had an allergic reaction to a medication. That scares me greatly.

    Worst urgent care

I decided to post a review after all I've been dealing with this office. This office don't even deserve a 1 star. I took my 11 years old son late in January, he had a lot stomach pain, vomiting and diarrhea. I decided to take him to this "urgent" care since it was Sunday, they were only two patients on the wait room and we had to wait over 30 minutes to the first the nurse, oh and by the way their system was not working so the lady at the front office wanted to charge me $50 for that visit when with my insurance the co pay is $25 or $35 for specialist..well I ended up paying $40, here comes the worst, my son was diagnosed with apendicitis and was advise to take him immediately to the emergency room, the doctor was really nice but had no idea what he was talking about. He even wanted me to call an ambulance!
I took my son to the Childrens hospital, since of course I was so worry about my son and the diagnosed that doctor gave him. The nurse at the hospital pretty much almost laugh and she said my son didn't have apendicitis but a stomach bug, he was given medicine for the vomit and that was it thank goodness.
Of course I contacted the office after that and Britney at the front office could care less about my complaint. I finally was able to emailed Amy P and she apologized for the inconvenience and agreed to refund my co-pay. This week I received a bill from MedPost because the insurance paid them "only" $149 for that 5 minutes the doctor saw him, and there was a remaining balance I was responsible. Shame of them! I would be more than happy to pay if I would have received the right service. I was billed over $600 from the hospital due to my insurance deductible not met yet for a stomach bug that this "urgent" care was not able to handle. Worst Urgent care, not sure if they cant handle children that a doctor can so miss diagnosed a simple stomach bug with apendicitis. I do not recommend this urgent care at all, it is obvious they only care about the money and not the service they provide.

    Don't go here....

I travel 3 weeks per month so I occasionally have to to visit urgent care providers (UC's) when I am not feeling well during my travels. I have visited several UC's in NC, NY, MI... during the past several years. This one is the worst. My advice is to go to one of the other local UC's... I rate them 1 on a scale of 1-to-10 on "Patient Service"...

    Girl upfron is a moron

She tells you she takes your insurance and then you get there and then tells you its $50 and you are out of network. She needs to get her facts straight. Get her off the phone and go back to school and go work at Walmart.

    Disappointed

While I am sure the doctor I saw is a fine and qualified doctor, I spent $50 to be told what I already knew. Nothing was prescribed. Nothing was told to me but to drink water. I have a sinus infection I asked for a sinus shot. I was told there wasn't medical science to support that it works. I told her I had had them before and they do work. She blamed it on the steroid in it and said there were worse side effects. I am extremely upset that nothing was done. What did I pay $50 for? It was like I was being treated like a child and that I didn't know what was good for me. Is this where medical treatment is going?

    Poor customer service

Typically I would give this place 5 stars. I have been going to here for all kinds of medical issues over the past two to three years. Today however was a different story. Walked in there to get a copy of my receipts from last year that the amazing receptionist did for me the day before. Today my husband went with me to pick them up and get his. When we got there they had just opened and no one there. Walked up to the counter and two women were in the middle of a conversation. I had asked for my envelope and the Hispanic lady sitting down asked for my id. It took me sometime to find it not long but about a minute and she just rolled her eyes and then just threw the envelope in the counter. My husband asked if he could get his. To which the same Hispanic lady said that their systems were down and he would have to call back up tomorrow. He asked if she could take his name and number down and call him if they came back up. Her response was and I quote "I told you what we could do" I then butted in cause I am sorry but you didn't need to disrespect someone that was just asking a question. I told her that y'all just did that for me yesterday at to which she again said that he would need to call up there tomorrow. At that time I said can I speak to a manager only to find out that the nurse partitioner was the other lady right there. She said I am the NP and you can call back tomorrow and you need to leave. I was appalled. The lack of disrespect from them both was appalling. They are in the service industry and have no customer service. I have told everyone of my friends and neighbors that this is the place to go but will now be telling them that if the large Hispanic lady with tattoos is there to not just walk away but run to the nearest primacare because this person has not respect for people and should not be in this business. She should be let gonad well as the NP. The utter disrespect from both of these women is a disgrace to the good name of this place.

    literally saved my life

I went in to this clinic at 3pm. Kareen Premmer, MD saw me and immediately recognized my symptoms and sent me to St. Jude where they found I had less than 1% of normal platelet counts in my blood and was bleeding in the brain. They were able to give me 4 injections of platelets and stabilize me over a 3 day period. Thank you Urgent Care La Habra for being there for me.

    Very Pleased Today

Could not get into my doctor, found the MedPost Urgent Care about 2 miles north. I don't care about waiting, but was taken quickly. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I was confident and at ease upon arrival. They took samples and diagnosed the problem, called in 2 Rx, and the NP / Nurse Practicioner was very knowledgeable and shared many tips and ideas regarding the temporary condition and how to remedy it. I was urged to follow directions on prescriptions and follow up with my doctor within two weeks to be rechecked. I will definitely return to MedPost if I need to, and would recommend it to everyone. Their hours are 8 am to 8 pm every day.
at 18276 Hall Road. 586-221-9401. Next door to Walmart. They were fast, but more importantly to me - efficient and competent. (this is not an ad, its a recommendation / review)..
