v good experience with doctor and staff

Dr. Samina Farooqui was awesome.Had taken my 3 yr old as an emergency over there on a fri evening. Our regular doctors' office nurse recommended this location.Dr Farooqui was v experienced and v gentle and great bedside manners.
Nurse Erik and Tech Amy were v kind and efficient. They knew how to handle kids.Front desk lady was also v kind and efficient. They did the xray at their location and also gave me a copy of it .Gave me good referrals for a specialist too. I loved tha fact that they called me the next day to check with me how my son was doing. Great team!

Who knows what you'll get here.

Our first visit was great. The doctor made our 3 year old feel at ease and even laugh despite a 104 fever.
We came back for a follow up and saw a different doctor who was the complete opposite. He seemed annoyed to be there on a Sunday. He made no attempt to even talk to our son to put him at ease and then seemed annoyed that a scared three year old would protest having a stranger poke and prod on him. The doctor had the nerve to mouth off to my wife when she was trying to calm our son down. After the exam was over, we sat for 20 minutes waiting for the nurse to come get us to check out. Turns out the nurse didn't even know we were waiting because the doc hadn't let them know we were done.

    Impressed

We went to several doctors, who were inept and refused to listen We went to the Allen, Texas location, last night. Everyone was very helpful and compassionate. Today, there is such a huge difference! My son feels better. He is back to acting like himself. He is doing things he has not been well enougho do, for a week. All becaus someone FINALLY took the time to listen, get him on new medication; and, on the road to being himself. Thank you, so much, to an amazing staff! We will definitely go back, if the need ever rises. As well as, recommend to everyone we know!

NOT impressed! The front desk gal was snotty and gave me the impression that I was an inconvenience. The "doctor" thought she was pretty cool using all those big medical words, that I normally could follow, but I'm an exhausted single mother, with a sick child. I work 60 hrs a week, I've gotten no sleep and all I want is someone to recognize that I don't need a medical book lesson. I need you to look at my child and help us. We got the absolute bare minimum out of the visit. She hardly even looked at my son who had a rash all over his body. She wasn't interested in looking at him or making sure I wasn't missing something or investigating further in order to see if it could be something else. She was not thorough at all. She was too busy listening to herself use big words over and over and over. Then when we were checking out I moved a bowl of suckers away from my 1 yr old son and onto another area of the same counter so he couldn't reach into the bowl. The rude front desk gal moved them back right next to him! I couldn't believe it! Excuse me for not wanting to temp my child with something he can't have. I will never go back there.

    Horrible Experience!

My wife and I brought our son here after he suffered a deep gash on the side of his head from hitting a bed post. He cried, received 4 staples and were told to come back in 5-7 days to have them removed. Fast forward 7 days, we come back to have the staples removed. Our son begins to cry before we even step foot into the building but we assured him that it'll be really quick and he won't even feel anything. This is what we promised our son. So the first nurse preps my son's gash and attempts to remove the first staple. She failed on the first attempt and bent the staple to where it could not be removed. Every time she yanked on it, the hooks would pull my son's skin and he would cry more and more in pain. This went on for several minutes and apparently, the tool was to blame. The head doctor on duty came in and yielded the same results. The more they yanked, the more my son cried in agony. So it was agreed upon to apply more numbing gel on the gash and proceed after it takes affect. For those of you who do not know, it takes a good 45 mins to the gel to take set in. So a simple 5 minute trip turned into a nightmare for two parents and a terrorified 4 year old. After 45 mins and lots of horrible Nickelodeon shows, the nurses and doctor showed back up in the room...Well, all nurses except the one who initially started the whole mess. So two nurses to hold my crying son down and one doctor to keep tugging the staple out of my son's poor head. After several attempts, the doctor was finally able to remove the deformed staple. For our troubles, my son was rewarded with a backpack with crayons and stickers...The same exact backpack he received when he received the initial staples. So 3 hours total, my son who was dramatized that day and we got two Frisco Ruff Riders backpacks. Those backpacks must've set them back, what...Nothing?! That was not even the worst part. The worst part was the nurse, who never admitted to messing up, never even apologized to us. Everybody else was sincere in their apologies and even encouraged me to write/file a complaint, especially towards the nurse in question. When we got home, my wife received a phone call from the said nurse. She said she wanted to talk to me...I can only assume she wanted to apologize...You know, after her co-workers told her I was upset with the fact that the said nurse never apologized to me, my wife or my poor son. We only came to this facility due to the fact that it was logistically convenient to us. I will drive all the way to Houston before I ever step foot in the Allen facility again. If the admins actually do monitor these reviews, I'd like to see some disciplinary actions and less backpacks given out. Should you need to contact me to provide more information regarding the matter, please private message me. To sum things up, I would NOT recommend your services to anybody!

    ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE SERVICE...!

DO NOT TAKE YOUR KIDS HERE - DOCTORS ARE RARELY EVER THERE, THEIR SERVICE IS HORRIBLE AND I WOULD EVEN SAY, PURELY BASED ON OUR EXPERIENCE, THAT THE STAFF IS RACIALLY DISCRIMINATORY...!

Here is what happened - my wife and 2 kids (our youngest (3 yrs) was sick and the she had our older child (6 yrs) with her) went to this clinic at about 3:30 pm on 12/8/15. Our son was running a low grade fever (101 - 102) for almost 3 days and had a bad cough, but he was very active and was eating and drinking as before. My wife is a nurse herself and we waited to see if it would go on its own for 3 days (Tylenol was given at home) but since it was still showing no signs of dropping we decided to take him to the doctor, and unfortunately our Doctor's office was closed on Tuesday. So we ended up here - BIG MISTAKE.

So she picked up the older one from school and went to this clinic, when she got there she found out that they only open from 4 PM - and it was about 3:30 PM then - so she decided to wait in the car with the children rather than drive all the way back home and then back. It was pretty cold outside so they sat and waited in the car till 4 with the child who was not feeling too good. All parents know how that is, but he was happy and comfortable - no fuss or any other issues. At 4:02 PM since she saw staff members inside she decided to take the kids in and get the registration and paperwork done and wait for the doctor to see them.

To her surprise when she reached the door - they denied and told her plainly that she would have to wait in the car till the doctor came as the doctor was not there yet and was running late. She asked if she could finish the paperwork and wait in the lobby where there was small play area, so that the kids would be occupied. She was told a flat 'NO' - she could not come in until the doctor showed up - when asked how long would that take - she was curtly told whenever he can get here based on traffic. Mind you this is being told to a patient (a 3 yr old child that too) and it is also after the time advertised on the door as the time they are open for business.

Now everyone understands a few minutes (or sometimes more) delay on a doctors visit is to be expected. Based on one of our previous visit to this place we knew that the doctors might not be available as we get there and there would be a considerable wait. We had to wait a long time during that visit as well as the doctor was not there. That is NOT the issue here, I want to be clear about that - we were willing to wait and was in no hurry.

The part that we don't understand and took offense to is why they could not let them wait in the "WAITING" area and complete the formalities and the triage and maybe have the nurse do the vitals or whatever that needs to be done before the doctor would come and see you. This is also how a doctor's appointment would work as we have been to numerous other ones. Also the tone and nature by which they had communicated this message to my family who was there with a sick kid and had waited patiently for them to open up.

Needless to say - she did not feel comfortable and decided to leave right then. This place and its horrible service is not what we would pay for and neither should any of you. Anyone who is in the business of treating children should not treat an unwell child and mother that way, I have a great deal of respect for medical service professional, but this goes to show that not all of them do deserve that respect.

SO PLEASE DRIVE A FEW MINUTES MORE AND FIND ANOTHER FACILITY FOR YOUR CHILD, YOU DON'T THESE PEOPLE TREATING YOUR CHILDREN.
