    Worst Experience Of My Life

Worst experience of my life. I went in with what I believed to be a kidney stone. When I got to the facility I had to run and throw up in their restroom because I was having such severe pain in my lower back and pain near my bladder. The whole time I was there all they kept telling me as that they couldn't give me pain medicine and that I should go to the ER if I need something for pain. I paid $75+ dollars for nothing but a urine sample confirming that I had blood in my urine which is an indicator for having a kidney stone. I will never go to this place again. I will take my business to the Cache Valley Hospital (Specialty Hospital) from now on.

    RECEPTIONIST

I visited the INTERMOUNTAIN INSTACARE at 1915 W 5950 S Roy, Utah 84067 between 4:00 and 6:30 P.M. on December 8, 2015. I had injured my left hand in a car accident. It was badly swollen. I wanted to check to see if any bones were broken. A receptionist help me with the paper work for the insurance. Dr. Smith had an ex-ray taken! No broken bones, but the swelling was from an infection.

The antibiotics that were given by prescription cleared up the infection. Dr. Smith had diagnosed it correctly.

I was especially impressed with the receptionist! She has exceptional people skills! She would be successful anywhere she went. I didn't get a chance to compliment her on my way out! She knew all the rules for billing the insurance company! I wanted to bill to my health insurance! She explained to me I wanted to bill to my health insurance! She explained to me under federal law, that is illegal to do! You have to bill the car insurance company. I am 66 years old and have worked over 30 years as a Professional Structural Engineer! I learned something new!

I would like to wish all staff of the Roy "INTERMAOUNTAIN INSTACARE" a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

    Terrible providers

I live just a few blocks from this place so me and some family members have gone here a couple of times. Now, I steer as many people away from this location as I can. The staff is great. The doctors must be residents and they barely speak to you let alone do a physical exam of the problem. Serioulsy, count your lucky stars if they even make eye contact with you in between the mundane and vague questions they ask you while furiously typing on a computer. The last time I went here, I felt their diagnosis was not accurate, so I sought a second opinion and sure enough... The second opinion actually ran tests and proved their diagnosis to be way off. I'm sure had they spent any time not acting they were internal medicine docs trying find a diagnosis without ever looking under the bandaid, they would have figured that out too. I hope you and your family members don't end up here if you are in need of real medical attention.

    My Utah visit

I'm from California and needed to see a Doctor. I had a type of rash on my neck and shoulder and was directed to go here by my Heath Insurance. When my husband and I got there we didn't have to wait long for a Doctor to see me. I would have had to wait a while in California especially on a Satl

    RUDELY REJECTED MEDICAL ATTENTION

I was experiencing dizziness, pain, confusion and other symptoms the day after a fall in which I hit the back of my head. The symptoms were getting bad enough that I had to leave work. My co-worker urged me to go to Instacare to get checked out for a concussion, so I had my son take me there. I still cannot believe how incredibly rude the woman behind the desk was to me. No sympathy. No compassion. She showed nothing but complete irritation. When she finally asked about the reason for my visit, I told her it was for a head injury. She asked if I was there to see if I had a concussion. I said "yes". She said, "We don't DO that here. You need to go to the ER. We don't DO that!" Talk about feeling completely belittled! It was as if I had walked into an ice cream parlor seeking medical attention. Sounds like Instacare needs a staff with better manners and definitely some compassion for sick folks. I wish there was a zero star rating.
