About CareNow Urgent Care

CareNow was first founded in 1993 in Texas, where it still maintains the majority of its clinics. It’s estimated that the company serves more than 9% of the Dallas-Fort Worth population, as of 2013. The company was designed to focus on urgent care, family practice services, and occupational health services in Texas.

The company has rapidly grown, now operating more than 80 clinics across the U.S. in 10 different states, though it primarily focuses on Texas and Florida. In 2014, the company was acquired by HCA, a company that operates more than 165 hospitals and 113 surgical centers in both the United States and England.

Care Now Urgent Care Services

The three primary areas of CareNow’s service include urgent care, family medicine, and occupational medicine, as well as lab testing and exams.

Urgent care services include treatment for burns, allergic reactions, broken bones, lacerations, and other minor injuries which do not require ER treatment.

Other services provided by CareNow include immunizations and vaccinations, medical tests such as physicals, x-rays, EKGs, STD screenings, pregnancy tests, and sports physicals. CareNow also offers occupational services such as physicals, drug screenings, and on-the-job injury care.

The company also offers online Web Check-In services, which allows patients to get care as soon as they walk in the door, instead of sitting in a doctor’s waiting room.
