Do Not Go! They will bill you through the roof! 2 bills, 1 for doctor, 1 for the building!

The clinic staff and physicians are nice and knowledgeable, but only reserve this place if you cannot see your actual physician or you feel like paying alot of money! I was just billed a "hospital building fee" even though they are not a hospital, this is just a regular urgent care office. Had I gone to my physician, I would have only paid a co pay.

    Place is a scam

Always liked this clinic, but no more. My wife had the flu and decided to stop in. She spent a couple minutes with the doctor who wrote a prescription and sent her home - nothing more. We have Blue Cross PPO - good insurance, that includes a co-pay for a specialist of $50. In the past, this was the end of it. About two weeks later, get an invoice from Advocate Good Samaritan, which after Blue Cross paid their part of it, was for an additional $175. I called because I was sure it was an administrative mistake, but it turned out the $50 copay was to cover the doctor, and the $175 was a 'facilities charge'. On top of what this visit for the flu cost us, Blue Cross paid another $250 - so altogether it was about a $500 visit. I told them is was a scam and we will never again set foot in their clinic.

    PATIENT BEWARE...DO NOT GO

As the other reviews indicate, this place charges through the roof. My wife went to get her cough checked out. Just received the invoice and it is $700! The building fee charge is ridiculous. I am still shocked how much the bill is. United Healthcare only
Care $44 discount. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION.

Don't waste your time going here

I had a horrible experience here. I went online at 10:30am and scheduled an appointment for 2:30pm. I got an e-mail confirming my appointment. When I arrived at the office, the door was locked and there was a sign on the door saying they were closed. I called the number on my confirmation to find out what was going on. The call was answered at some call center which had no way of contacting the actual office. I went back to the door and waited for someone to walk out so I could go in. I told the person at the desk that I had an appointment. She said, "We're closed. The doctor isn't seeing any more patients." I again told her I had a confirmation for my appointment. Her rely was, "That doesn't mean anything." There were at least 5 people waiting to see the doctor. So there I am, in pain, being told I'm out of luck. The receptionist handed me a sheet which listed 3 other locations I could try. By this time it was 2:45 and all 3 locations close at 4. Being a reasonably intelligent person, I knew I would not be seen at any of these locations before they closed at 4. This whole time the woman at the desk acted as if I was being unreasonable and had no reason to be mad. I asked to speak with the doctor which was met with a smirk and a "no, he's not coming out here." So basically, had I known that my appointment "didn't mean anything", I could have just gone as a walk-in patient at 10:30am when this little journey began. Unfortunately, we lost our insurance and are now stuck paying for insurance ourselves. This is only our third month with this insurance which requires us to use Advocate. For the last 34 years, we have used Ingalls Healthcare system and I can honestly say I have never, ever had this type of experience with them. They have been wonderful. If this experience is any indication of our future with this insurance, I think I may just bite the bullet and pay a couple of hundred dollars more a month to not have to deal with Advocate. To add insult to injury, I ended up going to the Minute Clinic at CVS and paid $120 for my office visit because Minute Clinic isn't covered by my insurance. Advocate would have been a $50 co-pay. So I'm out $70 on the deal. I can understand where they may reach the maximum number of patients they can see in one day, but why wasn't a person who was a walk-in patient turned away instead of cancelling my appointment without notifying me?

    WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!

I had the worst experience ever at the St. Charles, IL Take Care Clinic. So today I go to the Walgreen Care Clinic to get my daughter her chicken pox booster. So I wait for an 1 hour and 45 mins with ONE person in front of us (I think she took an hour lunch between there). After walking around Walgreens with 2 small kids for an 1 hour and 45 mins I finally see the Assistant walking to the desk. I tell her that I have been waiting for 1 hr and 45 mins, and she only needs the shot. This woman verbally attacks me...I am not even kidding when I say, leaning over, red face, yelling at me..."I am ONLY ONE PERSON! I refuse to give you a shot. Get out of MY clinic!" The first thought was to call the police, I seriously didn't know what to do. So, I begged her, (this was all in front of 10 people who were waiting for prescriptions, etc) literally, "No, please, please," I said.."Please we have been waiting so long." Although, I knew I wasn't be genuine, it got her in. But, she seriously made me cry..I was crying I was so upset, which is not something I really ever do. She called her in, took 30 seconds to give her the shot. She handed me the paper, and I told her to never ever talk to me like that again. She proceeded to tell me to "Get out of MY clinic." I will not stop until something happens with my complaint..ever.

It's a waste of time and money

Terrible experience. My husband was at the Libertyville clinic two days ago and tested positive for influenza B. I began coming down with something just over 12 hours ago and went to the Round Lake Beach clinic. The nurse practitioner wouldn't prescribe tamiflu even though that is the CDC's protocol. She'd rather I be completely and utterly ill then prescribe a drug used to both treat and PREVENT the flu. She did admit that I would have been given the drug had I been with my husband at the Libertyville location 2 days ago. Her logic for not giving it to me was that it was too late and I wouldn't come down with it...huh? The flu has a 1-4 day incubation period. My husband has been sick for 4 days and I came down with it on the 3rd. This place is a joke.

    Should Lose Medical License

    Letter I sent to Manager:
    Hi, Meralis,

First, I should let you know that the business card I was handed for you is the wrong telephone number, and so was unable to contact you via phone.

Second, I did not get the chance to get the correct spelling of the practicioner I spoke with (because she slammed the door in my face when I told her what the lady from the Rosemont call center told me), but I know it was something similar to P. Karehan, or P. Karahan.
She needs to lose her license to practice medicine, immediately.

She refused my insurance for the service I'd scheduled days earlier - for which I'd provided my insurance information, and no attempt at communication to inform me of this was made until I got there that you refuse insurance for physicals.

I explained to her that I need the physical form by tomorrow, (which is why I made the appointment for today), or else I will lose my job.

I asked her for ANY form of documentation as evidence that I was present at the time of appointment, in hopes that I may be able to get an extension on my physical so that I won't lose my job, and become unemployed without any insurance.

She outright refused, and continued to simply refuse any form of documentation, raising her voice, not giving me information she'd promised about another physician who might help, arguing things which were untrue (such as: that my insurance was not refused as coverage for the service I'd requested; that the operator at Walgreens Headquarters in Rosemont wasn't calling her office - after she'd tried four times and the phone didn't ring; and slamming the door in my face because she didn't like what the lady in the Rosemont call center told me to do as documentation after P. Karahen (sp?) had refused to talk to the call center on my phone when hers was found to not be working.)
I asked for a copy of the documentation that I'd refused the appointment & treatment which she needs to somehow document, anyway - since you wouldn't accept my insurance for it - which has my name and insurance info on it and is therefore part of my medical records, which I have legal right to. She continued to refuse, knowing that she was causing me harm as she was doing this.

She eventually handed me a card with your name on it, which has the incorrect phone number. I reached the voicemail of someone with a different name. Either this was neglectful or deceitful. Either way, it was unprofessional.

Basically, she refused to take any professional responsibility for her position and duties, and broke the first rule of Medicine: Do No Harm.

She is knowingly causing me to be unemployed, which will cause me great harm - as I've already been homeless, and this job was my chance to get out.

She not only needs to be terminated from your medical group, but she needs to be put up for ethical review and lose her license as a medical professional because she made it obvious she intends to cause harm to people who reached out for her help.

I expect to hear back from you as soon as possible, as to how to resolve this; which ethics board I need to document this with; and (the initial reason this was a problem) why you refuse my insurance after taking the information, and did not inform me you wouldn't take it ahead of the appointment, along with documentation that I showed up for the appointment before 5pm on 9/13/17 at the Advocate Medical Group in the Walgreens at 1601 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Chicago, IL.

If I need to petition Walgreens for the Pharmacy security tapes, I will take it that far. My basic survival, including avoiding starvation, is dependent upon this documentation.

Regardless of whether or not I hear back from you tomorrow, I will be writing poor reviews of this experience, so that others do not need go through the same. I will also be contacting others higher in the Advocate Medical Organization to report this matter.

This causes me great harm, and she knew she was doing so.
I'm not going to quietly starve to death simply because she wanted to be rude.

    Sincerely,
    A.Kay Wyatt
