I didn't call for an appointment - just walked in. I was told it would be an hour to an hour and a half wait. It was an hour. A P.A. and 2 other staff members took care of me and they were great. I got prescriptions at ~3:00 pm and at 8:00 pm I'm feeling like a new person. Thanks!!

Getting Tested for STDs in Pueblo, CO

Who should get tested for STDs?

Anyone who is sexually active should consider getting tested for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). This includes people of all ages, genders, and sexual orientations. More specifically, the CDC recommends that individuals who have multiple sexual partners, those who engage in unprotected sex, or those who have been forced to have intercourse should get tested regularly. It's also important for pregnant women to get tested, as STDs can have serious health implications for both mother and baby.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for STDs is crucial for several reasons. Firstly, many STDs often have no symptoms, so you might not know you have one unless you get tested. Secondly, early detection can prevent serious health complications, such as infertility, cancer, and organ damage. Lastly, knowing your STD status can help prevent the spread of these diseases to others. According to the CDC, regular testing is a key component in controlling the spread of STDs in the community.
