    MALPRACTICE!

    4 minutes ago-Edit
UPDATE: After me calling them, and having my podiatrist willing to talk with them, they wasted my time by saying they weren't going to do anything to refund my money. DON'T BELIEVE THE POST THAT SAYS THEY WILL MAKE IT RIGHT. THEY DIDN'T CARE AND THEY DIDN'T CARE TO TALK TO THE PODIATRIST WHO ACTUALLY KNEW WHAT HE WAS DOING. STAY AWAY. THERE IS NO ACCOUNTABILITY WITH THIS COMPANY. IF THEY MAKE A MISTAKE, THEY WILL JUST BRUSH IT OFF. THAT'S DANGEROUS!

I EXPECT A REFUND FOR THE MALPRACTICE! I visited this urgent care after calling to see if they could handle a routine issue: ingrown toenail. They indicated they could, so rather than seeing a podiatrist because the few I had contacted were booked, I went here. The PA I saw indicated that "what they used to do" was not what they do anymore. He also stated that it would "ruin" my trip if they cut the problem area of my toenail out. He said that I should just "wait it out" and the problem will likely go away on its own. He prescribed antibiotics as well as a steroid cream. After leaving, I was concerned with his diagnosis because he was very unsure of the antibiotics he prescribed, and a steroidal cream didn't seem to fit my need. Thus, I contacted another podiatrist and found an opening. After he examined my foot and upon hearing what was told to me by the PA, he said the information I was given was completely false. He stated, my problem rarely would go away if ever on its own without intervention, stating it had a definite chance of becoming much worse. He stated that the antibiotics prescribed were wrong, and chuckled at the steroid cream. He also said that he'd never heard of any new treatment regimen for this situation, especially since there was a mild infection already caused by the toenail. He indicated it would not ruin my trip, and in fact said the exact opposite-upon the removal, it would start to get better immediately and there would be minimal to no pain after 24 hours (which was accurate). He stated that had I followed the PA's advice, I would have gone through the antibiotic regimen, and the infection would have come back without treating the physical problem i.e. the ingrown toenail. After I complained about this to another PA/doctor at the urgent care, she said the same ludicrous statements and even went further in her malpractice by stating that if they had cut a portion of the toenail off, I would have had a better chance of getting an infection after the procedure rather than wait--which the podiatrist said was completely false. Warning to everyone: apparently the attending medical personal know absolutely nothing about common issues and just throw you on antibiotics. Absolute waste of time and money! And the cost at the podiatrist's office was less than the "office visit" at the urgent care and that was for the whole procedure and visit! Overpriced and uneducated! AVOID!
